Nigerian comedian Lawrence Oluwaseyitan, widely known as Seyi Law, sparked outrage on social media following a recent post he made.
The comedian, who is an ardent All Progressive Congress (APC) supporter, addressed President Bola Tinubu in a message posted on his X page.
In his earlier tweets, Seyi Law thanked the president for his tremendous work after his victory in the 2023 general elections.
Seyi Law expressed his gratitude to the president by thanking him for curbing the exchange rate arbitrage that was benefiting the masses.
He wrote, “Asiwaju, thank you for stopping the exchange rate arbitrage that was enriching a few of us and the fuel subsidy. Now, let’s get more policies that will better our lives at the grassroots. Your Excellency, forget about those sponsoring the protest and engage your young population in dialogue. You can’t afford to fail.”
The tweet garnered numerous reactions on social media as netizens criticized him.

I am very happy that I never voted for Buhari at any time. I am very happy. All the hits you are receiving today are because you allowed Buhari to rule Nigeria again.
While I believe you can help Nigeria get better by fixing the mess. I don't pity you for…
