Popular Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law, has congratulated fellow comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Aderombi Martin, better known as Deeone, for completing a record-breaking 52-hour stand-up comedy performance in Lagos.
In a celebratory post shared on X on Sunday, Seyi Law praised Deeone’s determination and passion, describing the feat as a testament to years of planning and relentless effort.
“What started as a joke to many was, in truth, a vision fueled by passion and years of planning. From 2021, the journey was long, demanding, and relentless, but today, it has become a reality.
“A record-breaking 52 hours of performance is no small feat. It’s monumental,” Seyi Law wrote.
While official confirmation from the Guinness World Records is still pending, the comedian commended Deeone’s resilience and focus throughout the marathon.
He added, “While we await the official confirmation, I want to take a moment to celebrate your unwavering dedication, resilience, and sheer willpower it took to get here.
“You’ve done what most wouldn’t dare to attempt, and I pray this achievement opens doors to even greater success.”
Deeone, in a short video posted on Saturday morning after the performance, revealed that his initial target was 60 hours but he ended up completing 52 hours and some minutes.
PUNCH Online earlier reported that the comedian had announced plans to break the Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy performance.
In a video shared on his Instagram, he disclosed that the marathon show would run from October 2 to 4, 2025, at Pallazo Lagos, Opebi, Ikeja.
The announcement, shared with a humorous flier designed like a traditional burial poster, drew widespread attention online.
