Pastor at Powerline Church in the USA, Joshua Aghasedo has sparked public conversation after asserting that the use of sex toys within the purview of marriage is not a sin, describing them as technological tools meant to aid marital intimacy.

Speaking on the issue while addressing his congregation, the cleric likened the use of sex toys to everyday modern technology designed to ease or improve various aspects of life.

"Is driving a car a sin? Is using a phone a sin? They're equipment to help. I have never used a sex toy, but in this modern age of technology, it is an equipment. It can help you do the job to 90% while you continue from there," he explained.

Aghasedo revealed that he has actively recommended these aids to married partners as a practical measure to preserve marital fidelity and prevent infidelity.

"I have suggested sex toys to couples so that somebody is not going out to cheat. It is an equipment to help in the process," he noted.

However, the clergyman drew a clear moral line regarding single individuals, warning that using such items outside of a marital union constitutes a sin.

"Sex toys are for married couples only. If you use them on your own, it is masturbation, which is also fornication," he cautioned.
