Seun Kuti is a daft, mindless nihilist - David Hundeyin fires

Journalist, David Hudeyin has slammed singer, Seun Kuti over his recent assault on a police officer which caused his arrest.

He described the singer as a daft, mindless nihilist who opposes for the sake of opposition.

Recently, videos emerged on social media of Seun Kuti slapping and pushing a policeman on the Third Mainland bridge.

This caught the attention of the police command as Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba called for the immediate arrest of the singer.

Seun Kuti on his part said, the police officer tried to kill him and his family and that he has proof of the incident.

Following the incident, there seem to be mixed reactions from Nigerans with some criticising the singer and other applauding him.

Journalist, David Hudenyin on his Twitter page shared a report of a Nigerian identified as Francis Nwapa who had suggested that he could not wait to unleash slaps at police officers after years of torture.

Reacting to the report, Hudenyin wondered if Seun Kuti had become a martyr to some people.

However another Twitter user who was commenting on his post said Hudenyin and Seun Kuti are similar but different in approach.

Responding to the tweet, Hudenyin disagreed with the user's stance as he went on to describe Seun Kuti as a daft, mindless nihilist.

The Twitter user wrote; "You and Seun actually mean good for Nigeria, ya'll just have different approaches. Seun's stance is that all these politicians are mostly the same. Any newly elected president had always spent its first tenure blaming the previous administration for the bad situation of things."

David Hudeyin replied; "We are NOT on the same side. I highlight problems and propose actual solutions.
