In a society that puts a premium on success and achievement, many people grapple with feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-worth, leading to a range of mental health challenges.

This was the case of popular comedienne and actress Helen Paul as she felt inferior to her husband Femi Bamisile, a renowned lawyer.

Speaking during a recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, Helen Paul revealed that the inferiority complex she felt went to the extent of she and her husband attending different churches because she didn't want a situation where they'd be asked to introduce themseleves and her husband will proudly state his designation and profession but when it gets to her all she could say is 'I'm a comedian".

With the thought of not matching her husband's status, Helen Paul added that on their wedding day, she told her husband that if their marriage lasts for two years then it meant that she tried everything possible to make it work on her own however, if it lasts forever then it means God was at work in their marriage.

Helen Paul disclosed on a recent Honest Bunch Podcast episode that she and her husband used to attend different churches due to her inferiority complex.

She didn't want to be in a situation where they were asked to introduce themselves and her husband would proudly state his title and profession, but all she could say was, "I'm a comedian."

Helen Paul said with the thought of not matching her husband's status, she told her husband on their wedding day that if their marriage lasts for two years, it means she tried everything to make it work on her own, but if it lasts forever, it means God was at work in their lives.
