'Run for president if you can solve Nigeria's problems' - Peter Okoye slams Seun Kuti

Nigerian singer Peter Okoye known popularly as Mr P has reacted to comments by afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti on why he and his brother are rallying behind the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Seun Kuti in a video on social media dragged P-Square for supporting Peter Obi now, years after rooting for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) when they were in power.

He claimed that his anti-government songs don't get airplay because they are controlled by politicians who own the media houses.

Peter Okoye who was not pleased with Seun's comments, took to his social media to react to it.

Peter noted that he and his brother Paul Okoye were not the reason Seun's songs were not aired.

He added that Seun's songs are not popular because he isn't doing something right as a musician. Mr. P made a quick comparison to Seun's father, Fela Kuti, who produced 'anti-government' songs but they were heard and loved by many.

He further called on Seun to contest for elections since he believes he has the solution to Nigeria's problems.
