Ruggedman speaks on using religion to blame rape victims

Rapper Ruggedman has spoken against using religion to blame rape victims for the way they might have dressed prior to getting raped.

This was after a social media user spoke against imbibing western ideologies against the teachings of religious scriptures.

@Elhajjdtocom wrote: "Self-control is a virtue that every man should uphold to. It's wondering how we neglect the teachings of our scriptures as no religion on earth supports indecent dressing. We tend to blackmail ourselves with the said Western Socialisation that they themselves are complaining about".

This didn't sit well with Ruggedman who questioned to know if his religion supports rape.

He tweeted: "Does your religion support rape? Defiling women and children? Does your religion say you should blame everything but a rapist? The fact you are talking like this only makes one start to think you are a supporter of rape".

@Bamsythareal reacted: "He didn’t support in any way. He only shared his opinion. Stop guilt-tripping. Wearing indecent clothes shouldn’t be an excuse for rape never. But let’s reduce the indecency and see what’s gonna happen".
