Rema, Burna Boy, DJ Cuppy and 5 others bag awards at AFRIMMA 2020

Music mogul Don Jazzy has taken to his official Instagram page to celebrate singer Rema's new win.

Singer Rema recently won the award as the 2020 Best Male West Africa at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

AFRIMMA is the biggest African music award ceremony in Diaspora that creates a platform to promote the diversity of African music.

Announcing the win, Don Jazzy called on his fans and followers to join them in celebration.

Other Nigerian artistes also won big at the award ceremony. Out of 27 categories, Nigerians won in nine places.

Singer Simi won the best female act, Mercy Chinwo won the best gospel act, Flavour won the best live act, TG Omori won the best video director, and musician Cuppy won the best DJ in Africa.

Pocolee won the best African dancer, Burna Boy won two awards for crossing boundaries and his collaboration of Jerusalema song with Master KG ft Nomcebo Zikode.

In other news, earlier reported that unretouched photos of singer Rema left fans confused as they struggle to recognize him.

Rema took to his social media pages with two different unfiltered photos of himself. However, the pictures got a lot of fans asking questions as to who the young man in the photo is.

Rema was seen rocking a stylish glass but there was a noticeable difference between the person in the photo and the young handsome artist that most people have grown accustomed to.
