Reach out to me before I take action - Baba Fryo warns Nasboi over theft of intellectual property

Veteran Nigerian musician Baba Fryo has revealed his intentions to file a lawsuit against skit maker Nasboi over the alleged theft of his intellectual property.

In a video shared on his social media page, Baba Fryo accused Nasboi of stealing lyrics from his hit song “Denge Pose” and using them in his recently released song “Short Skirt.”

Baba Fryo issued a warning to the skit maker and demanded that he be credit and compensated for his work.

Speaking in pidgin, he said, “Nigerians, I greet una. This thing don dey happen e don tey. And I was not happy with it. But now I want to take action.

“You see that song wey Naboi sings about ‘short skirt’. My lyrics ‘Dengo dey denge Denge’ are inside the verse. So, anybody wey know Naboi should tell him to reach out to me before water go pass geri.

“As you are looking at me, I’m not happy but this one must be the last time that anyone will use my song without telling me. You people should tell him to reach out to me before I take action.”
