Rapper Offset hospitalised after shooting outside Florida hotel

American rapper and former Migos member Offset has been rushed to the hospital after being involved in a shooting incident outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

The incident reportedly occurred on Monday evening around 7 p.m. near the hotel’s valet area, where the 34-year-old music star, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was said to have been struck by gunfire. Authorities confirmed that the injuries are not life-threatening, and the rapper is currently in stable condition while receiving medical treatment.

According to reports, police officers responded swiftly to the scene and quickly contained the situation. Two individuals were reportedly detained as investigations into the shooting continue. Law enforcement also assured the public that the hotel premises remain secure and normal operations have resumed.

Videos currently making the rounds online show officers restraining two men close to the valet stand, with one pinned to the ground while another appeared to resist arrest, further fueling online conversations around the incident.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that moments before the shooting, Offset was seen in high spirits outside the hotel, smiling, greeting fans, and posing for pictures.

Witnesses said he had paused a phone call to interact warmly with supporters before the sudden gunfire broke out.

The shocking development has stirred concern among fans, especially coming years after the tragic 2022 shooting death of his former Migos bandmate, Takeoff.

For now, representatives for Offset have reassured fans that the rapper is stable, although the full extent of his injuries has not yet been disclosed. Police investigations remain ongoing.
