RACISM: Kanye West donates $2m, sets up college fund for Floyd's daughter

US rapper, Kanye West, has donated the sum of $2million to the families of African Americans (Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd) who were brutally murdered by policemen.

According to TMZ, Kanye has also set up a 529 college fundraiser to cover tuition for Floyd's 6-year-old daughter, Gianna. He's also made a separate donation to cover the legal costs for the Arbery and Taylor families.

Recall that Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis cop on May 25, leading to a spate of violent riots across the US till date.

Ahmuad, 25-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot near Brunswick in Glynn County, Georgia, while jogging on Holmes Road by two white males on February 23 2020.

Taylor, another African-American, 26, was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police Department officers.

Kanye joins Floyd Mayweather Jr in supporting Floyd's family after the boxer previously offered to pay for the deceased's funeral.

Further reports also revealed that the 42-year-old rapper is also donating to several black-owned businesses impacted by the violent protest in his hometown of Chicago and nationwide.
