Praying to God for something you know you got through sin is disrespectful - OAP Dotun

Media personality Dotun claims that Nigerians have normalized attributing ill-gotten wealth to something that came from God.

In a series of posts on his X page, Dotun stated that praying to God for something one knows they got through sin is disrespectful.

The OAP pointed out that although God does not judge and condemn people, it is important not to disrespect God.

“My God does not judge neither does he condemn you but he still needs to be respected. Praying to God on something you know you got through sin is disrespectful. The devil also gives but how come you don’t pray to him when he gives? We have normalized bad wealth as God’s.”

“It might seem fair to validate people’s wealth no matter how they acquired it. What’s not fair is validating how it is okay to be crooked to make it and make an excuse on why God doesn’t judge. He doesn’t but don’t mislead people.”

“Wealth is good. Whats not good is wealth you know deep inside that you acquired to pressure others; using God as your reason to do that is what’s wrong, Most of us are guilty of this but awareness also means even if we are foolish & know you got it, let’s leave God out of it.”
