Popular Nigerian crossdresser Area Mama, has reportedly been murdered.
The cross-dresser was reportedly murdered in cold blood hours after he stepped out the night after and left for dead by the roadside on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
In the widely circulated photos on social media, Area Mama, as he was affectionately known, was seen lifeless and covered in injuries from the supposed beating he received before dying.
The spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) command, SP Josephine Adeh confirmed that the news was true.
He said, "It is true. We received a distress call of a dead body of an unknown lady found at Katampe Mabuchi expressway. It was when the police arrived at the scene that we discovered that it was a man in full female attire with blood all over his face."
The news has since come as a blow to social media users as they wonder what would make someone murder the crossdresser. Many prayed and asked for a peaceful rest of his soul.
