Popular Nollywood actors who died in the space of two days

The Nollywood industry has been sent into a state of mourning after four of its members passed away during the weekend.

Questions and worries have been generated by the sudden deaths of these well-known performers among their coworkers and fans.

MyNigeria highlights the four Nollywood actors who passed away within the span of two days in this article.

1. Adedigba Mukail:

Adedigba Mukail, better known by his stage name Alafin Oro, was a seasoned Yoruba Nollywood actor who passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

Alafin Oro appeared in numerous films up until his passing and was admired for his wisdom and deep understanding of Yoruba culture.



2. Saint Obi:

Obinna Nwafor, also known as Saint Obi, was an actor and movie producer who allegedly passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, although the news only surfaced over the weekend.

The 57-year-old actor's body was transported to the mortuary at the Jos Uniniverty Teaching Hospital (JUTH) after it was reported that he passed away in the home of one of his siblings at 13 Metropolitan Street in Tudun Wada, Jos.

The actor who ruled the film industry in the 1990s passed away following a protracted illness.

He was claimed to have fought the illness for months before he ultimately fell victim to the cold and cruel grip of death.



3. Murphy Afolabi:

Murphy Afolabi, an actor and movie producer, passed away at the age of 49 after suffering a terrible fall in his toilet at his home in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The actor passed away in the early hours of Sunday, May 14, 2023 after turning 49 on May 5, 2023.



4. Tech Sound:

According to his colleagues Kunle Afod and Kolawole Ajeyemi, Tech Sound, a prominent Nollywood actor and sound technician, also passed away on Sunday, May 14.
