Technological expert and cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams, better known as Blord has been arrested and detained by the Nigerian police.
This comes after a public altercation between the entrepreneur and the social media activist, during which Blord retaliated sharply against accusations from VeryDarkMan that he was neglecting consumer complaints.
According to VeryDarkMan, Blord was arrested as a result of a petition he filed against him. Additionally, he said that Blord was being held at FCID in Abuja.
Earlier, VeryDarkMan criticized a cartoonist for not conducting a thorough study before endorsing Blord's app, Billpoint, in reaction to a video of Mr. Jollof promoting it.
He continued by highlighting a few customer complaints he had received, along with images of messages left by angry clients.
VeryDarkMan asserted that when money is paid, the app frequently shuts users' accounts.
He wrote: “Mr Jollof and other influencers before you collect advert always do research this Blord app name billpoint is not entirely what it seems I have people crying in my dms and the guy no dey even send them,be careful of that app be careful of BILLPOINT…… @mr.jollof_ do your research especially on this app.”
Blord, who saw this as a stain on his brand's name, responded by criticizing Verydarkman on Instagram for making such a post just because about ten people got in touch with him regarding the issue.
Nevertheless, in a recent development, VeryDarkMan's assertion that Blord was arrested as a result of his petition has been denied by the Nigerian police force.
According to Muyiwa Adejobi, a spokesman for the Nigerian Police Force, Blord was detained as a result of accusations lodged against his companies. The spokeswoman further pledged that the police would conduct a comprehensive investigation.
This development has elicited reactions from social media users. Check some comments here
