Following the scarcity of the new Naira notes in the country, photos of the old Naira notes and coins have surfaced.

Due to the unavailability of the new Naira notes, there has been chaos, confusion, fighting among citizens in the banks, ATMs and many other places.

Some have even resulted to using the POS machine in purchasing things as little as sugar cane.

However, this development has led people to reminisce about the old currency used by Nigerians for their day-to-day transactions.

Many remember how they could use the 50Kobo to purchase sachet water, N5 to buy biscuit and many more.

However, pictures of the old money used in Nigeria has emerged with many taking to social media to share their thoughts.

I miss the good old days, when 100 naira bread now was just 1 naira then, when 1 naira and 50 Kobo were notes and we spent 1kobo, 5kobo and 10 Kobo coins.

oocs: It's looks like say dem just add gradients without checking if it's fit .. I prefer the old design to this nonesene this looks over exposed kind of .. it's not even clean ..rather than redesign naira note stop the production of 1k and introduce coins that will epp the economy
