Peter Okoye faults ECOWAS decision on Niger

Multi award winning singer and half of P-Square duo, Peter Okoye aka Mr P, has described as ‘total madness’ the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) decision to use its standby force to restore constitutional order in the Republic of Niger.

President of ECOWAS, Omar Alieu Touray gave the order while reading out the resolution of the subregional body’s extraordinary meeting on Thursday in Abuja.

Reacting via his verified Twitter handle, Mr P accused the West African body of joining the West to fight fellow Africans.

He wrote: “Africa joins the west to fight Africa. Total madness.”
