Popular media personality Nedu Wazobia has expressed deep concern over the rising cost of living in Nigeria, describing survival as a daily struggle for many citizens across the country.

Speaking in a recent video, Nedu pointed to the increasing costs of essential needs, school fees, house rent, food, transportation, fuel and healthcare, as major sources of pressure on ordinary Nigerians. According to him, even people with steady salaries are struggling to make ends meet given how sharply the cost of living has climbed.

He also noted that harsh economic realities have pushed many Nigerians into actions they never imagined taking, simply to survive.

"People are doing things they never imagined they would do, hurting people, betraying people, cutting corners, not necessarily because they were born wicked but because survival has become a daily battle in this country," he said. Nedu ended his remarks with a call for a more functional economy that rewards hard work.

"We just want an economy where working hard can actually mean something, where a parent can provide for their children without stress and where ordinary Nigerians can wake up tomorrow with a little less fear and a little more hope. At least we deserve that," he said.

His comments come amid growing public discussion around inflation and the rising cost of basic necessities, which many Nigerians say continues to strain their daily lives.
