Paystack co-founder and CTO Ezra Olubi has come under fire after a wave of resurfaced old tweets provoked widespread outrage.

The controversy erupted when a finance professional, Max Obae (aka Maki), publicly accused Olubi of manipulative relationships, abuse, and power imbalances, including alleged sexual exploitation of a subordinate.

As the debate raged online, archival posts from Olubi’s former account, dating between 2010 and 2017, went viral.

Many of these tweets contain deeply disturbing content, with some referencing minors, bestiality, and other explicit or predatory themes.

In response to the backlash, Olubi deleted his X account. So far, there has been no public apology or explanation from him, but Paystack has reportedly suspended him from his duties.

According to TechCabal, Paystack has begun a formal investigation into the allegations, and Olubi will remain suspended pending the outcome. The company noted that it is aware of the claims and takes such matters very seriously.
