Paul Okoye blasts Nigerian Senate for requesting more time to swap naira notes

Singer, Paul Okoye commonly known as Rudeboy has taken a swipe at the Nigerian Senate for asking the president to extend the deadline of the swapping of the redesigned Naira notes.

Following the scarcity of the newly designed Naira notes, the Senate recently called for the extension of the deadline for the swapping of the notes to June 2023.

However, Paul slammed the lawmakers for their action. According to him, their plea is only to benefit them.

He noted that this same senate failed to speak up when Nigerians were hungry during the pandemic, also when the palliatives were discovered because it was not beneficial to them.

He wrote;

“During pandemic, people were hungry, where was the senate when the palliative were discovered?

Same government were hiding food for their citizens, they were silent and dumb because it doesn’t affect them.

Now with the CBN naira redesign they became spokesmen for the poor cos it affects them.

Imagine there was no election…
