Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu has slammed Grammy Award-winning singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu better known as Burna Boy after a throwback video of him walking out on his mother and grandfather surfaced.

In the 2020 video that has emerged on social media, Burna Boy left his mother Bose Ogulu and grandfather, Benson Idonije, shocked and embarrassed after walking out on them during an interview with an American cable channel, Vice TV and declaring it as boring.

The interviewer had in the video sought Burna’s opinion as his mom talked about being on Fela Kuti’s crew as the daughter of the late singer’s former manager was also on seat when Burna Boy stood up and said: “this is boring” and walked out on them.

Bose Ogulu's face had the disappointment blatantly written on it.

Reacting to the video after it emerged again, Aisha Yesufu criticized Burna Boy for being an "overgrown spoilt child" who could disrespect his mother and grandfather in public.

Aisha asserted that Burna Boy's behavior shows that no action or display of disrespect from him should surprise anyone.

She added that if Burna Boy was capable of treating his mother and grandfather with such disdain, then Nigerians are nothing to him since he is capable of tearing them to pieces.

Sharing a video of the throwback, she wrote: "Am I the only one that watched Burna Boy’s interview where he literally denigrated and relegated his grandfather? His mother was shell shocked sef. Then who the heck are you folks that he will not shred everyone of you? All of us like this he will pieces us! I am surprised at you people’s surprise"

She added: "An overgrown spoilt child disrespecting his mum and grandpa"
