Afrobeats superstar Davido has made fresh allegations against the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the upcoming Osun State governorship election.

He claims the opposition party went as far as bringing a fake national chairman to the state to drum up support for their candidate.

Taking to X on Thursday, August 13, 2026, the singer did not mince his words in accusing the APC of a desperate act of deception.

"Out of desperation, APC brought a fake National Chairman to endorse Amubo," he wrote.

The post is the latest in a string of politically charged statements from the musician, whose uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, is seeking a second term in office.

Davido has been consistently vocal about what he describes as interference by opposition forces in the electoral process.

The allegation follows a similar post from days earlier in which he accused Imo State Governor Hope Odidika Uzodinma of dispatching an INEC representative, Pauline Ugonyeka, to Osun State in an alleged bid to manipulate the vote ahead of the election.
