Shocking claims about the death of Nollywood legend Pete Edochie recently sent social media into a frenzy, but his first son, Leo Edochie, has firmly debunked the rumour.

The false report started circulating on X, where a user alleged that the veteran actor had passed away.

The claim went further, suggesting that the news was shared on Pete Edochie’s Instagram page, a statement that quickly caused panic among fans and admirers.

As the story spread, Leo Edochie began receiving an avalanche of phone calls and messages from worried Nigerians seeking confirmation.

In response, he took to Instagram to address the situation directly, making it clear that the report was completely false.

Visibly angered by the rumour, Leo stated that his father is alive, strong, and in good health.

He described the claim as a wicked lie and condemned those responsible for spreading such misinformation.

According to him, wishing death on others often backfires, adding that people who do so only expose their own bitterness.
