Otedola fulfils N1bn commitment to CA-COVID fund (Photo)

Nigeria's billionaire, Femi Otedola matches his words with action by publishing his one billion naira commitment to the Contributions to the Private Sector Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) fund set up by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Otedola published the list on Instagram with the commitment listed under his name.

"Matching words with action is the hallmark of Integrity, hence the fulfilment of my 1 Billion Naira Donation which has been published above by the Central Bank of Nigeria. My word is my bond and this has always been the bedrock on which my life is based. I salute the other contributors listed above who have honoured their pledge and call on those who are yet to fulfill their own pledges to this noble cause that will undoubtedly save lives," the business magnate wrote.



Contributions to the CACOVID fund has now hit N19.488 billion.

The sum of N3.4 billion pledges by individuals and organisations yet to be redeemed.

The Director, Corporate Communications of CBN, Mr. Isaac Okorafor, disclosed this in a statement.

The list of contributors to the fund has increased to 47 individuals and organisations (excluding the four yet to redeem their pledges), higher than the 37 recorded on earlier.
