Omah Lay Omah Lay

Singer, Omah Lay's latest single 'Holy Ghost' has sparked mixed reactions on social media.

The song which was released on Friday, November 10, has since generated several reactions from fans and Nigerians.

One of the critics of his latest song is social media commentator, Daniel Regha who took to his X page, hours after the release to share his thoughts.

Regha claims Omah Lay's new song is blasphemous. According to him, the song indirectly mocks the Christian faith and shows lack of reverence for one of The Trinity.

He raised concerns at the way people choose to respect one religion and ridicule Christianity.

Regha wrote;

"Omah Lay's new song "Holy Ghost" is blasphemous; It further proves that he's an insensitive artiste, as the song indirectly mocks the Christian faith & shows lack of reverence for one of The Trinity, (Holy Spirit). Again, the rate at which people respect other religions but ridicule Christianity is beyond upsetting."

He further said on X, "Anyone that vibes or listens to Omah Lay's new song is indirectly mocking God, & sins against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. Matthew 12 vs 31."

Some social media users supported Regha's comment about Omah Lay's new song.

@AfrokonnectNG: Okay but Artistic interpretation can vary, and different listeners may perceive songs differently. It's essential to recognize that artists often express diverse perspectives in their work. If you find a particular song offensive, sharing your thoughts with others can foster discussions about the impact of art on beliefs and sensitivities.
