A video of popular comedian Klint da Drunk saying the old national anthem "Nigeria We Hail Thee" will reduce inflation in the country has emerged hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reinstated it.
Recall, that on Wednesday, May 29, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed the bill into law.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio made this announcement during a joint session of the National Assembly to celebrate the silver jubilee of Nigeria's fourth republic.
Comedian Klint da Drunk said in a now-viral video interview with Channels TV that things were better when the nation was singing "Nigeria We Hail Thee," instead of when it was singing "Arise O Compatriots."
According to Klint da Drunk, the 'Hail' in "Nigeria We Hail Thee" indicates that everything will go well because Nigeria is being lauded. At the same time, the 'Arise' represents a rise in inflation in the nation.
Following the video's release, several social media users pointed out President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reintroduced the national anthem because he had taken Klint da Drunk's advice.
