Okigwe South Seat: I know I won the election - Emeka Ike

Actor and politician, Emeka Ike has said that he believes he won the election to represent the Okigwe South Federal Constituency in Imo State in 2019.

Emeka who contested on the ticket of the Young Progressive Party said this during a video interview on Ghana’s talk show The KSM show on Friday, July 30, 2021.

When asked what happened during the election, he noted that the seat was stolen from him and although he didn't go to court to he is certain that he won the election.

He stated that the election was an eye opener for him as a new politician and hopes that in the future he will perform better and possibly win the election.

“I actually won my election but you know, politics is a bit of what you need to learn before you dabble into it. Those that knew the politics played into it but I know I won that election.

Unofficially I won the election but officially someone else took the crest, but that’s a lesson I need to learn,” he said.

On the part of his movie career, the actor mentioned that he is currently working on a script to be filmed in Germany. Adding that his career as a movie star cannot be left behind anytime soon.

Emeka Ike is a veteran actor having stared in over 300 movies. He is known for his role as a lover-boy.
