Ogun State Govt. appreciates Coronavirus hero, Amarachukwu Allison

The Ogun State Government has appreciated the young female doctor who spotted the index case in Nigeria in Ogun State, Dr. Amarachukwu Karen Allison of Lafarge Nigeria.

According to the state, "Her singular brilliance led to the early diagnosis and rapid containment of the first Covid-19 infection in the index case."

The State Government also appreciated Lafarge Nigeria for its cooperation with Ogun State in managing and curtailing the spread of the disease within the state.

On her part, an elated Amarachukwu beamed with pride as she thanked God and her teammates who helped to identify the virus in Oyo's first coronavirus case.

She wrote: " I want to thank God Almighty for intuition and knowledge and also for the safety of my teammates and I who worked together at the time.
