Many Nollywood actors and social media users have expressed sorrow and sadness after the revelation made by renowned actress Ngozi Ezeonu over the untimely death of a colleague named Obi.
The veteran expressed her profound sorrow and grief over the man's sudden death on her Instagram page on Sunday, May 19.
Ngozi Ezeonu posted a video with pictures of Obi as she conveyed her sorrow at her colleague's unexpected departure and acknowledged how hard it was to live without him.
She also underlined that good people were not created to last a lifetime.
She wrote: “Obi, this is so hard to believe that you’re gone. Indeed, good people don’t last. Rest on brother. “
Since the start of 2024, the Nigerian movie industry has lost a considerable deal of its talented young performers and veterans to the cold grip of death.
Over the years, the sector has lost many seasoned veterans and emerging talent.
Among the performers who tragically passed away were Sisi Quadri, Mr. Ibu, Ethel Ekpe, Olofa Ina, Amaechi Muonagor, Aderounmu Adejumoke, and Junior Pope.
A few of these performers passed away following battles with life-threatening illnesses like diabetes and cancer. Others had to solicit money to survive since they were having financial difficulties.
