The Yoruba film industry has been thrown into mourning following reports of the death of popular actor, filmmaker, and comedian Adeshina Okiki Oshin, widely known as Janmole.
News of his passing emerged on Monday, June 1, after Ibadan-based Success FM announced the sad development on its social media platforms.
In its tribute, the radio station described Janmole as a talented entertainer whose contributions to the Yoruba movie industry will not be forgotten. Condolences were also extended to his family, friends, the people of Okeho, and the entire Nollywood community.
As of the time of this report, the circumstances surrounding his death have not been made public.
The news has come as a shock to many fans, especially as Janmole had previously survived a serious accident more than a year ago, a period during which many prayed for his recovery.
His reported passing adds to the recent wave of losses in Nollywood, coming shortly after the deaths of actor Patrick Okoye and veteran Yoruba movie star Fesogboye Oyewole.
Fans and colleagues have continued to pay tribute to the late actor, remembering him for his talent, humour, and impact on the Yoruba entertainment industry.
