Well-known Nigerian LGBT activist Bisi Alimi, has said no one can convert a straight individual into a homosexual or lesbian.

In a post that he shared on his Instagram Stories, Bisi made the case that while one can guide someone toward discovering their true selves, one can never force them to change their sexual orientation.

He wrote: "No one! I repeat No one can turn anyone gay. Someone might help you discover who you are but no one can TURN anyone into gay."
