Nigerians tackle Naira Marley over last phone conversation with Mohbad before death

Nigerians have criticized well-known musician Azeez Adeshina Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, for what is allegedly the last chat he had with Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, commonly known as Mohbad, a former signee of his record label.

Recall that Mohbad passed away on September 12 and was buried in Ikorodu, Lagos State, the following day.

Following the singer's passing at age 27, some Nigerians have criticized Naira Marley and some Marlian Records members, including Sam Larry as having a hand in the singer's passing.

Naira Marley dissociated himself from Mohbad's death on Tuesday in a message posted to his Instagram account.

However, a video showing Naira Marley and Mohbad talking was leaked by former presidential aide Reno Omokri on Wednesday, September 27.

During the alleged phone call, the ‘Yahoo Boy’ crooner said that the late singer hinted to him that he was feeling suicidal and had already made a video urging people to hold Naira Marley and his crew responsible for his passing.

The video has since received a mixed response on social media. Some have questioned Naira Marley's motivation for recording the chat, while others have suggested it may have been created by artificial intelligence (AI) to exonerate Marley.
