Nigerians have taken to social media to slam singer, Tope Alabi for criticising the song of her fellow gospel artiste.

Tope Alabi during her ministration at a vigil on June 12, stated that a term used by singer Adeyinka Alasetori in describing God was unacceptable.

Adeyinka in her song referred to God as "Oniduro". However, Tope called her out publicly saying that the Holy Spirit did not approve of the term "Oniduro" being used to describe God.

Tope noted that when she tried singing the song, the Holy Spirit cautioned her.

Some Nigerians thought it was wrong of Tope Alabi to call out the singer publicly.

Others claimed the singer was jealous and didn't want to see other gospel artistes rise above her.

Although many criticised her, media personality Morayo Brown, defended her, saying no one is above mistake.
