Nigerians mock Sanwo-Olu for plagiarizing Atiku's congratulatory message to Funke Akindele

The Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has received knock after he share the same congratulatory message to actress, Funke Akindele as the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Funke Akindele recent film, "A Tribe Called Judah" has been recorded as the first movie to cross One Billion Naira in domestic theatres. it also shattered the box office record.

As a result, several personalities have taken to social media to applaud her for her achievement.

Atiku Abubakar on Friday, January 5, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Funke Akindele saying that her film is a cultural gem that reflects the vibrancy and resilience of Nigerian cinema.

He wrote; "I extend my heartiest congratulations to @funkeakindele for the phenomenal success of "A Tribe Called Judah". This film has not only shattered box office records by becoming the first Nigerian movie to earn 1 billion naira in domestic theatres, but it also stands as a beacon of cultural pride and the unyielding spirit of Nollywood.

"A Tribe Called Judah" is not just a film; it is a cultural gem that reflects the vibrancy and resilience of Nigerian cinema.

Few hours later, a post surfaced on Governor Sanwo-Olu's X page, congratulating the actress on her accomplishment. However, the post had the exact same script of Atiku Abubakar.

This attracted massive criticisms from neizens who reacted to the Lagos state Governor gaffe.

After several call out, the Governor took down the plagiarized post and wrote a different congratulatory message to the actress.
