Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has raised concerns over the decision of the House of Representatives’ to shutdown pornographic websites across the country.
On Tuesday, March 12, 2025, the House of Representatives directed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the telecoms regulator, to block access to all pornographic websites in the country.
Expressing his thoughts, Blaqbonez called the House of Reps move a misplaced priority.
According to the rapper who cited popular adult star Destiny Mira, he claimed that adult films “help” citizens through difficult times.
“This country is funny. Destiny Mira, who helps us through tough times, and they want to ban her,” he wrote.
