Nigerian celebrities are beginning to air their mind since the first case of coronavirus was confirmed in Lagos hours ago.

COVID-19 was brought to the country by an Italian man who came on a brief business visit. He has since been isolated at the Lagos State Biosecurity Facilities.

Reacting to the news, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu issued a statement saying that steps have been put in place to ensure the prevention of the spread of the virus.

However, this hasn't allayed fears among many Nigerians which can be noticed as expressed by celebrities.

Actress Mimi Orijekwe shared a picture showing her wearing a double face mask as a preventive measure which she claims is preventing her from breathing properly.

"This is not even funny .. am wearing a double mask... can’t breathe well again.. ps: let’s protect ourselves", she wrote.

Actress Kate Henshaw warned against wrapping nylon bag around one's head in place of face mask.

She tweeted: “Please be advised, this will not protect you, rather it will kill you!!! Keep informed about the right tips/measures to adopt with regards to the China Corona Virus”.

On her own part, former BBNaija reality TV star, Ifu Ennada revealed that the price of disposable face mask has skyrocketed after Nigeria confirmed its first case of COVID-19.

She wrote: "Disposable face mask now 15,000 naira! No longer 750naira or 10,000 naira which was the latest price in Lekki this morning like I reported some mins ago. This video was sent to me by one of my sisters who's on the mainland. ______ Nigerians, we are our own problem. I hope these Pharmacies ripping people off their money also educate them on how to use and also inform them that only those who already have the Virus need to wear these face masks".

Dubai based big boy, Mompha who recently regained freedom from EFCC custody has jetted out of Nigeria.

He shared a picture showing him wearing a designer face mask while in an aircraft just hours after coronavirus was confirmed in Nigeria.
