Nigeria needs a man like Obi to save it from doom - Onyeka Onwenu

Seasoned singer and actress, Onyeka Onwenu has indicated that she will support the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election, which will take place in a few days.

In a video shared on her Twitter page, Onwenu, who doubles as a human rights and social activist stated that the upcoming election may be Nigerians' last chance to “get it right, to turn this country around from lawlessness, carnage and violence that we seem to be moving towards.”

Onwenu, recalling her work from 1984 that portrays the level of corruption present at the time, noted that the situation is worse now and that Nigeria needs a man like Peter Obi to save the nation from certain doom, bring it back to progress, and transform it into the great nation that it was always meant to be.

She said: “I’ll vote for Mr. Peter Obi. Reasons are too numerous to mention here but let me just say just say very quickly that he has the capacity, he has the capability, he has the sense of purpose and mission and he has the passion to turn this country around. Its time!”
