Netizens slam Blackface for accusing Asake of stealing his song ‘Joha’

Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo who is known by his stage name Blackface has stirred reactions on social media after he called singer Asake out for stealing his song.

Ahmed Ololade known professionally as Asake and his label boss Olamide came under fire from Blackface for failing to contact him regarding the use of his work.

Blackface asserts that he is the true owner of the song 'Joha'. He pointed out that he had done something similar to what Asake did on 'Joha' years before Asake included it on his album "Mr. Money With the Vibe."

Blackface has previously called out other musicians and accused them of stealing or rewriting his songs.

Recall that April 2022, Blackface also called out Wizkid and Banky W for stealing his song an demanded that they call him so they settle the issue.

Burna Boy, 2Baba, Davido and Kizz Daniel are among the people Blackface has called out for song theft.
