Grammy Award-winning songstress Temilade Openiyi widely known as Tems has sparked conversations on social media following a statement she made about colleague, Ayra Starr.
Speaking in an interview with American National Public Radio, Tems noted that Ayra Starr was a little girl who worked so hard that she deserved flowers and that she would love to offer her some flowers.
To Tems, she was only praising her colleague for the feat she has achieved and the success of her career but it appears netizens misinterpreted her remarks.
Social media users attacked Tems, claiming that her remarks were condescending and that Ayra Starr wasn't as insignificant as she thought.
