Netizens drag Tonto Dikeh as she tackles Peter Obi over boreholes he donated to Northern communities

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has criticized Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections for the calibre of boreholes he dug and gave to some areas in Northern Nigeria.

The former presidential aspirant visited some Northern towns during the Ramadan fast, broke fast with them, and provided them with some basic comforts they lacked.

Peter Obi dug boreholes for the people who needed water in a few of these settlements.

Tonto Dikeh in light of this has criticized the condition of the boreholes drilled in the communities claiming that the job was poorly done and that a presidential contender with Obi's standing shouldn't have commissioned them.

Taking to her Instagram page, she queried Peter Obi as she registered her displeasure and dissatisfaction with the work he had done. According to Tonto Dikeh, President Bola Tinubu would have done better as he is on the path of renewing hope in the country.

She asked Peter Obi if this was how he was going to govern the country if he was given the nod.

Tonto Dikeh's post did not sit well with many social media users as they took to her comment section to blast her.

According to many, Peter Obi's efforts should be lauded because he did not use taxpayers' money to fund the borehole, rather being a private citizen, he used his own money to fund everything.

They added that he should be applauded for the gesture and the good thoughts he has for Nigerians rather than being called out.

Recall that Tonto Dikeh defected to the All Progressives Congress in October 2024.

Speaking about her choice to join the APC, Tonto Dikeh who ran alongside the ADC candidate for governor of Rivers State in the 2023 general election, said she was confident in President Bola Tinubu's ability to lead Nigeria to prosperity.
