Netizens disappointed in Buhari for honoring K1 with MON
Fuji artiste, K1
King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, commonly known as K1 De Ultimate, is one of Nigeria’s best Fuji artists and the newest celebrity to earn a national honor from the federal government.
K1 was one of the 437 Nigerians to receive national honors from President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. He will be given the rank of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
People from a variety of walks of life, including politicians, public servants, security personnel, merchants, monarchs, and religious leaders, among others, received national honors.
He acknowledged receiving the letter of conferral and thanked the federal government for including him on the list of winners of the National Honors.
On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, President Buhari is expected to present K1 with the honor.
Social media users have responded differently to the President’s conferment of K1 as they feel Wizkid, Burna Boy or Davido should have been honored instead of K1.
Others have also congratulated K1 and expressed gratitude to the President for seeing the works of the Fuji artist by honoring him.
