Netizens call out Kwam1 over tribute to Mohbad at his party

Nigerian Fuji music legend Wasiu Ayinde, commonly known as Kwam1 or K1 De Ultimate, paid tribute to the late artiste Mohbad at his recent coronation ceremony.

The Fuji star received a lot of criticism on social media after paying respect to the late singer.

Kwam1 while giving a speech at his coronation ceremony in Ijebu, mentioned that Nigeria had many accomplished artistes, one of whom had recently passed away, and he also praised Mohbad's vocal prowess.

According to Kwam1, the sudden death of Mohbad caught him by surprise and made him realize that people should sometimes consider their attitudes and way of living with people.

He said: “We have a whole lot of artists that can keep the country together, we have Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Sãvage. Unfortunately, something happened to us a while ago, it caught us unaware and it set us back, and made us feel bad about ourselves and our attitudes. Mohbad rest in peace.”

Netizens registered their displeasure by chastising the Fuji singer and stating that his daughter was acting as the legal counsel for Naira Marley, who is alleged to have had a hand in the singer's death.
