NSE conducts first Digital closing gong for the first time

Due to the rise of the global pandemic, the Nigerian Stock Exchange will be conducting its first-ever digital closing gong ceremony.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Exchange, Oscar N. Onyema, OON, will be hosting the Managing Director of Sterling Bank Plc, Abubakar Suleiman, to a Digital Closing Gong Ceremony via Instagram Live on Thursday, 16 April 2020.

This would be the first-ever digital closing gong ceremony as most of the closing gong ceremonies have been done on the floor of the stock exchange.

Recently, the NSE urged companies to consider virtual AGMs while placing the Company Secretary in charge of the whole proceedings.
