Falz slams NDLEA Falz slams NDLEA

Nigerian rapper, Falz has slammed the National Drug Law Enforcement agency (NDLEA) for destroying cocaine worth N194bn seized from a warehouse in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.

On Sunday, September 18, the NDLEA reportedly stormed a warehouse in Ikorodu and arrested some drug barons and seizing hard drugs found within the premises.

It was said that the drugs worth more than two hundred and seventy-eight million, two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($278, 250,000), equivalent to about one hundred and ninety-five billion, seven hundred and seventy-five million (N194, 775,000,000) Naira in street value were confiscated by the anti-drug agency.

In a recent video circulating social media, the NDLEA showed how the drugs were burnt barely two weeks after seizure.

However, popular singer Falz took to Twitter to call out the NDLEA for burning the evidence of an ongoing case when the suspects are yet to be tried.

He questioned the NDLEA actions, describing it as a big fat lie.

Falz tweeted,

"This administration must really think that we are daft sha!! What is this lamba that the NDLEA is giving with this cocaine seizure saga? Dem dey burn evidence?”

However, the anti-drug agency has debunked reports that it destroyed all the evidence.

Spokesperson of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, said that 27.5kg of the cocaine has been secured for use during the prosecution of the five men arrested during the raid of the warehouse.
