Comedian Crazeclown has taken to social media to reveal that a N1m stock his father bought in 2002 is now being valued at N11,561.

According to the skit maker, his dad bought the stock to give him and his siblings a better life.

However, years after, his dad’s investment is now valued at N11,561.

Some Nigerians also took to the comment section to share their experience.

awas_thoughts_room: My dad spent all his money investing in shares for all of us too. He saved and used his retirement funds for shares. Last I checked, it was nothing. I felt sad. I am happy his kids still turned out well. God bless his soul, I had a great Dad.

jewelry_byappearglow: My greatest decision was buying gold, 2019 when my mum gave me a share from one of her shops she sold…. Thank you mummy as at then gold was valued 14k per gram a second hand value gold is worth over 50k depending on the design and neatness but irrespective of how bad the gold jewelry is you can’t sell it less than 40k.

ogasjosh: As at 2002 assuming he bought a land (that land with worth 20million or more today) that’s 21yrs ago

medaluscouture: Moral of the story is simple... Instead of investing in naira, buy a dollar now, open a current account for your kids and save into their domiciliary account.

soloblinkz: The company my papa buy our own shares don fold

bridesbyadassa: I use to receive 2to 3 naira dividends from my stocks before but not anymore
