For several days, singer Davido has been flaunting his wealth on social media, sparking mixed reactions from online users.

Many critics have described him as a “daddy’s boy,” suggesting that his success in the music industry is largely tied to his family’s influence, despite his undeniable talent.

The conversation intensified after Davido shared a new update linked to his father’s business ventures. According to Punch, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, the Pro-Chancellor of Osun State University, has completed a 1,250-megawatt power plant in Ajebamidele, Ondo State.

The $2 billion project, however, is yet to begin operations as it is not yet connected to the gas grid. Once operational, it is expected to create employment for over 2,000 engineers and other skilled workers.

Reacting to the development, Davido hinted online that his life was “just beginning,” further fueling conversations about his privileged background.

Earlier, social media influencer Tunde Ednut joined Nigerians in celebrating Dr. Adeleke’s birthday by posting a video highlighting the billionaire’s investments. He also shared a photo of the moment Davido introduced him to his father, which drew admiration from fans.

Netizens quickly flooded the comment section, expressing awe at the Adeleke family’s wealth and accomplishments.
