My late father will be pleased I’m now Dr Tiwa - Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage, an Afrobeat singer, is confident that her late father would be immensely proud of her new position.

Tiwa received an honorary doctorate in music from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom on July 15, 2022.

The University on July 5, revealed its plan to honor some of its graduates, including Tiwa Savage, who received a degree in business administration for her exceptional and motivational work in the music industry.

The Afrobeats queen said her parents, especially her late father, who passed away in July, 2021, placed a high value on receiving a quality education on the front page of Schick Magazine, an African woman’s fashion, beauty, and lifestyle publication.

Tiwa confirmed that given her present position as Dr. of Music, her father would undoubtedly have been quite proud of her for this specific accomplishment.

She stated: “Having a solid education was something extremely important to my parents-especially my father, he passed away last year but know he would be very proud that I am now Dr Tiwa Savage.”
