My fans didn’t buy me a car – BBNaija's Erica

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica Nlewedim, popularly known in showbiz as Erica has debunked claims her fans bought her a car following her disqualification from the reality show.

Erica, who was a favorite to win the competition received her third strike and was disqualified as she was caught on camera spitting unsavory words and bullying fellow housemate, Laycon. Her actions go contrary to the house rules.

After her disqualification, her fans started a GoFundme account to support her. The account reportedly raised more than $20,000 to support the young actress.

Her fans were also reported to have bought her brand new car.

Erica, who is on a tour in Ghana said the claims are untrue. She made the statement on Ghanaian local news outlet, 3FM.

She admits her dream of leaving the Big Brother House successful, famous and rich has been realized even though she did not make it to the finals, 3FM reports.

The Nigerian actress also admitted that her fans, the Elites, as they are identified, have been very supportive throughout her journey but discounted reports that they bought her a car, according to 3FM.

She seemed surprised when asked if her fans indeed bought her a car and dismissed the claims as being untrue.

“My fans didn’t buy me a car”, she said on 3FM 92.7Mhz.
