Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, widely known as Mr P, has announced that he will no longer celebrate his birthday on the same date as his twin brother Paul Okoye.
In a post shared on X on Monday, the former P-Square member revealed that November 18 will no longer be recognised as his birthday celebration date.
“I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day,” he wrote.
He went on to announce a new date for his celebration.
“My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th. This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding.”
The move is being interpreted as another sign of the deepening rift between Peter and his twin brother, as well as their elder brother and former manager Jude Okoye.
Once celebrated together as P-Square, the brothers have faced years of disagreements over management, finances, and trust issues. Although they reunited in 2021, tensions resurfaced, with both sides exchanging accusations ranging from marginalisation to financial misconduct.
The situation further escalated in 2025 when Peter publicly stated that he had cut ties with his brothers, marking a significant breakdown in the once-close family and musical bond.
