Ugochukwu Nwokolo, the first Mr. Supranational Nigeria, has sparked controversy after he stated that he prefers impoverished girls and highlighted the reasons why men should think about marrying one.

The fashionista made these remarks in a conversation with the renowned OAP Nedu Wazobia and others on The Honest Bunch podcast.

During the conversation, Nwokolo expressed his views on dating and marriage, saying that he thinks "poor girls" are more appealing and "marryable" than their more affluent counterparts.

According to the paradigm, impoverished women are more suited for marriage because of their higher levels of spiritual commitment and fertility.

Nwokolo mentioned the well-liked NSPPD prayer sessions in particular as a feature that appeals to him, along with their apparent dedication to early morning prayers.

He said, “Poor girls turn me on; the poorer the girl, the more attracted I am to her. Only a poor woman will wake up by 7 a.m to pray for you, do NSPPD, pray for her husband. Marry a poor girl, when it comes to fertility, poor women can be so fertile!”
